This is a wonderful 37-page booklet published in 1948 by Newservice Ltd as part of a 'Famous Football Club' series.

Ten clubs had 'Official Histories' published in this series and the list of these can be found on page 2 of this booklet.

This publication dwells mainly on Tottenham Hotspur's FA Cup history (with only 5 of the 37 pages devoted to Spurs' League history). It is a valuable document therefore as it devotes considerable space to Tottenham's two FA Cup victories of 1901 & 1921.

I like the fact that, as it was published in 1948, the 1921 FA Cup victory was more recent to the year of publication than the 1981 & 1982 FA Cup victories are to the present day while the 1901 FA Cup victory, now 110 years ago, was more recent to the date of issue than the Spurs achievements of the early 1960s are to the here and now.

I also like the fact that, in celebrating Tottenham Hotspur's history up to 1948, the glory years of Arthur Rowe's 'Push-&-Run' team was just around the corner but as yet a complete unknown (not to mention the Bill Nicholson years that were to follow on from that).
