Benham Tottenham Hotspur Victory Cards (2002/03-2005/06)

Benham Ltd is a Folkestone based company that specialises in postal items & 1st Day covers (FDCs) and has in addition produced a number of football stamps and stampsheets in recent years (see the 'Other Early-2000s Spurs Cards' & the 'Other Late-2000s Spurs Cards' pages for the Tottenham Hotspur examples of these).

For four seasons however, between 2002-03 & 2005-06, Benham produced large (125mm x 125mm) 'Victory Cards' for a small number of football clubs. These were issued a few weeks after each relevant victory for each club and had a limited production of 1000 cards each (2000 for the first, 2002-03, season).

These cards do not correspond with a particularly glorious period in Spurs' history (so there are fewer cards than would really be wanted!) but they do correspond neatly with the 4 years that Kappa & Thomson manufactured & sponsored Tottenham Hotspur kits.

A few cards in this series are also of particular interest as they are the only Spurs cards ever issued that depict certain Tottenham players.

Somewhat different, these are high quality cards and a welcome addition to this collection.
