All Later Tottenham Hotspur Panini Issues (1988 - 1998)

Although no longer under the control of the original founders, Panini football stickers & cards continued to be produced into the 1990s.

The company's dominance of the English football sticker market however was severely challenged and eventually ended by the emergence of Topps/Merlin as Topps were to produce the official FA Sticker albums from 1994 onwards. 

Topps were further given the exclusive rights to the 2002-03 season and Panini's attempt to produce an unofficial sticker set that year led to defeat in court thus ending their presence in the top division of English football.

Panini still produce cards & stickers for all sorts of subjects including football-related issues for other leagues and European competitions but the final stickers relating to Tottenham Hotspur until the turn of the century were issued by Panini in 1998 thus bringing an end to 30 years (until Spurs qualified for the Champions League in 2010) of perhaps the best, and certainly most celebrated and well-known, collection of football cards & stickers of all.
