All Other Late 1990s Tottenham Hotspur Cards & Stickers

The late-1990s carried on much the same as the earlier part of the decade both for Spurs and football cards.

However, there was one major change that occurred in the football sticker world; the demise of Panini.

Just as FKS succumbed to Panini in the early 1980s, Panini themselves lost the battle for the Premiership to Topps/Merlin and produced their final top-flight set of Premier League stickers in 1998 (although the company still produces stickers for other leagues to the current day).

While, again, there was still a good range of cards, stickers and issuers, one large card range to note from this period is Goala's Promatch series which ran from 1996 to 1999. Not to everyone's taste but a fine series nevertheless.

While the late 1990s saw the demise of a great name in Panini, the decade ended on a happier note for Tottenham Hotspur as the club ended the century just as it had started it - by winning a major trophy, in this case the 1999 League (Worthington) Cup.
