All Other Early 1990s Tottenham Hotspur Cards & Stickers

The early 1990s saw the end of one era & the start of another with the final top-flight Football League Championship ending in 1991-92 and the commencement of the FA Premiership the following year with all the attendant changes that were to follow and multiply over the next decades.

It was also the end of a different era & the start of another elsewhere in the Tottenham/Football Card realm.

Spurs won the FA Cup for a then record (but final) 8th time in 1991 bringing to an end 40 years of generally continued success for the club that started with the Push-and-Run side at the start of the 1950s.

Since then, and concurrent with the Premier League, the club has settled into a more lowly position amongst the top-flight clubs.

As for the start of a new era, 1990 saw the first set of Merlin (Topps) stickers enter the UK market. Topps/Merlin also introduced a few card sets a couple of years later and, by 1994, the company was to produce continual, annual sets of cards and stickers that were to eventually dominate their market just as the Premiership was to do in its. (NB. Topps/Merlin has its own numerous pages on this site).

While there still remained a plethora of Spurs football cards form this period, the move continued for companies to produce ranges of cards and stickers to include whole squads rather than just the odd or few players from each club.

Together with the greatly expanding market for nostalgic card sets, this has meant that there are far more cards available from this time than in previous decades. I have therefore had to divide the 1990s into two seperate pages.

Here are the other cards from the early 1990s...
