All Other 1980s Tottenham Hotspur Cards & Stickers

The early 1980s saw continued success for Tottenham Hotspur with back-to-back FA Cup victories in 1981 & 1982 followed by a second UEFA Cup triumph in 1984 although the decade did however see the club lose its first ever Wembley cup finals: The League Cup in 1982 & the FA Cup in 1987.

On the football card front, both Barratts & Panini continued their annual offerings throughout the decade.

FKS stickers however bowed out in 1982 ending 15 continuous years of sticker issues while, after 1981, Topps did not produce any cards or stickers for nearly 10 years (how different it would be from the '90s onwards!).

(As with previous pages, other 1980s cards & stickers can be found in the relevant FKS, Topps, Panini & Barratts pages).

There remained a huge assortment of cards and stickers from a huge range of issuers with publications and newspapers providing a host of individual cards and large sticker sets as well as a wide range of other companies providing similar items as well as game cards.

One major trend that gathered strength in the 1980s was the issuing of non-contemporary, nostalgic cards. In earlier decades cards tended to depict current players still plying their trade. A few nostalgia cards had started to appear with ever increasing regularity but the trend really took off in the 1980s, a trend that was to increase greatly into the 1990s and 2000s.

All in all then the 1980s was to see a continued plethora of Tottenham Hotspur cards and stickers...
